Pumpkin Pass Along

Before the Halloween party, make some jack-o-lanterns using orange rubber balls (about the size of oranges) and a permanent marker. You’ll need one for each team. Divide the players into teams.

To start the game, place the “jack-o-lantern” under the chin of the first player. That player passes the “jack-o-lantern” to the next player without using hands and then to the next player and so on.

The first team to pass the pumpkin all of the way through the line wins. You can also play this game by passing the Pumpkin from player to player using hands behind the back which isn’t quite as fun but also does not require the players to get so “personal “.

Pop the Balloon

Add the "Halloween treat" inside each balloon and blow up. Tie the balloon. Dump all the balloons on the floor and tell the children how MANY they may pop. The children must pop the balloons by sitting on them and bouncing. Treat ideas: spider or other types of rings, candy, mini balls, anything small that will fit inside a balloon.

Ring the Pumpkin

Line up three large pumpkins with stems, to form a ring toss. Use embroidery hoops or make hoops with rope and duct tape. Mark a throwing line on the floor and take turns trying to ring a pumpkin stem. It doesn't matter if they get it or not, you can reward them with small prizes or stickers. Smaller children can attempt to ring an entire large pumpkin with a hula hoop.

Scarecrow Nose

Before the Halloween party, paint a scarecrow on a sheet. Cut out the area where the nose is. Keep in mind the height of the children playing the game!

Divide the children into 2 teams. Take one team out into the hall. The other team stays in the classroom. Have the adults hold the sheet up. The first child out in the hall puts their nose through the hole in the sheet. The children in the classroom try to guess who is the scarecrow's nose.

Straw Relay Game

(For older kids)Divide into teams as you would in any relay race. Each child get a straw (cut in half) and a M&M. They must suck the straw to keep the M&M in place, walk carefully to a bowl and drop it in. The first team to finish,wins--No Hands and if you drop it you must start again.
